During the pre-flight meeting for Crossroads Adult Care Homes, the marketing manager showed us a variety of competing adult care Web sites around the area. We all agreed they had three things in common. 1) The tenant would not be motivated to live there, let alone visit, 2) The tenant’s children (typically the ones looking for a place for their parent) would feel guilty leaving them in such boring facility, and 3) If there were any photos at all, they were always of the inside, never outside.
Our goal with this project was to convey a high quality of life for the people who were lucky enough to live there in comparison to those “other” places. We accomplished that with several components, including:
- Very visual throughout the site as the main photo in the top left appears on every page.
- A slide show to display various locations within the facility grounds.
- Automatic search engine optimization with every page added and every post made to the blog for increased visibility.
